Description:

Youth of May is a poignant drama set in May 1980, revolving around young individuals who become entangled in the historic Gwangju Uprising. Hwang Hee Tae, a brilliant medical student from a prestigious university, defies societal expectations and prejudice. Despite his love for music and easygoing nature, unforeseen circumstances thrust him into the most challenging May of his life. In Gwangju, he encounters Kim Myung Hee, a fiercely independent and skilled nurse. Known for her pragmatic approach and cold exterior, she is a warrior in her profession. Myung Hee's best friend, Lee Soo Ryun, hails from a wealthy family and actively champions social justice, while her older brother, Lee Soo Chan, manages their family business after returning from abroad. As the city descends into chaos, their destinies become deeply intertwined amidst the harsh realities of the uprising, forcing them to confront love, loss, and courage during an unforgettable time.
