In 1988, following the end of the Martial Law Era, two Christian high school students, A Han and Birdy, formed a bond within their school band, guided by Canadian Priest Ou. A pivotal moment arrives when they are granted a day off to attend a late President's funeral in Taipei. Seizing this chance, the pair embarks on an adventure through the city's vibrant theaters, discovering a profound sense of freedom and brotherly love. This journey awakens A Han's deep affection for Birdy. Confused and perhaps overwhelmed, Birdy distances himself by pretending to fall for a girl, creating a painful misunderstanding that drives them apart for two decades.
