"Yes, I Can’t Swim" delves into the challenging journey of Yuji, a young man plagued by a profound fear of water and, as a result, unable to swim. This deep-seated phobia has dictated much of his life, keeping him away from anything involving water. However, an unexpected turn of events pushes Yuji out of his comfort zone and into the very situation he dreads most: a swimming class.

Reluctantly, Yuji attends lessons at Shizuka's swimming class. Shizuka, his patient and optimistic instructor, quickly becomes Yuji's greatest supporter, constantly cheering him on and encouraging him to face his fears. But overcoming a lifelong aversion to water is far from easy for Yuji. Each lesson is a struggle, a battle against his own anxiety and the ingrained terror that threatens to hold him back. The film explores Yuji's perseverance, the emotional hurdles he faces, and the slow, arduous process of learning to trust himself in the water. Will Shizuka's encouragement be enough for Yuji to conquer his fear and finally learn to swim?
