Set in China's Republic era, WuXin: The Monster Killer follows Wu Xin, a penniless and hungry immortal with no memory of his past. Waking from a long sleep, he possesses the unique ability to sense and communicate with spirits. He meets Li Yue Ya, a young woman fleeing an arranged marriage, who kindly shares her last food.
