Other name: 九降風, 九降风, 九月に降る風, Jiu Jiang Feng, Gau Gong Fung, Сентябрьские ветры

Description:

Winds Of September is a compelling coming-of-age drama that dives deep into the lives of seven teenage boys who form a tight-knit gang. Led by the charismatic Yen, the group engages in typical adolescent behaviors like drinking beer, smoking cigarettes, and riding motorbikes. However, beneath their rebellious exterior, the movie explores the evolving nature of their friendships and how they change through time. While the film predominantly focuses on male relationships, the dynamic shifts with Xiao Yun, Yen's girlfriend. As the boys struggle to navigate the challenges of growing up, Xiao Yun fights to break free from her relationship with Yen. Adding to the tension, Tang, Yen's best friend, secretly fancies Xiao Yun but lacks the courage to confess his feelings. Ultimately, Xiao Yun displays more courage than Tang in dealing with her situation. This poignant film beautifully captures the universal difficulties both young men and women face in their respective gender roles as they transition into adulthood.
