Welcome to the White Book store, a place between life and what comes next, where souls arrive before reincarnation. Here, every person's life memories are recorded in their own white book. Each soul is granted three opportunities to delve into their past, a journey that either propels them toward their next life or leaves them in perpetual stasis within the store.

The enigmatic store clerk, Yan Wu Xuan, meticulously maintains this unique establishment. Despite his uncanny ability to discern the true nature of every customer and possessing unlimited access to all white books, he himself has lost his memory and has never once read his own. His days are a quiet routine of cleaning and making tea, until the arrival of two new souls, Zhang Xiao Shu and Jian Shi Shuo. Their unexpected presence promises to unravel the store's deepest secrets and perhaps, finally, reveal Yan Wu Xuan's forgotten past.
