"Where Do I Come From?" centers on a young man gifted with an extraordinary ability: he can tap into the thoughts and experiences of others merely by copying their writings. This unique power, however, ironically hampers his dream of becoming an original writer, a goal made harder by his devoted care for his mother, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease.

His challenging life takes a drastic turn when his mother is involved in an accident. Out of the blue, a young yakuza from his past appears with a compelling proposition. He offers a significant sum of money if the young man uses his talent to take a university entrance exam for someone else, ensuring their entry into a prestigious institution. Desperate for funds, he agrees to this illicit deal. Yet, accepting the offer plunges him into a dangerous and unforeseen series of events, forcing him to navigate a world far more complex and perilous than he ever imagined.
