In the 2017 film We Are Gamily, also known as Still a Family, young finance professional Wu Gang Tang Zhen Gang is deeply in love with his boyfriend Sam Andrew Chau. After three inseparable years, Wu Gang seeks an easier life by marrying a fake bride, Yang Duo Cheng Mo, whom he met online. Yang Duo has her own relationship struggles with her girlfriend. Complications arise when Wu Gangs twin sister Wu Rou Li Jing Wei visits and takes an interest in her future in-law. Both twins have secretly hidden their partners from their traditional, nosy mother. Instead of calming her down, the fake wedding makes their mother ecstatic, and she wants to visit constantly.
