In the emotional youth drama Way Of Blue Sky, Masaki, played by Takuya Nakayama, is about to move to the U.S. with his parents. This sudden departure deeply affects five different girls who all like him in their own unique ways. The tomboyish Takako, portrayed by Saya Yuki, always gives him a hard time to mask her feelings. Meanwhile, childhood friend Haruna, played by Mikako Tabe, dreads losing her close companion. Alisa, played by Mei Kurokawa, has fancied him since a memorable shopping trip in nearby Shibuya. Then there is Naoko, played by Aki Nishihara, who is still readjusting to life after a long spell in the U.K., and Yumi, played by Ayaka Morita, who loves practicing basketball with him at night. As the moving day approaches, all five girls wonder who his special girl is, but Masaki is not saying.
