The W Files is an exciting Hong Kong fantasy adventure mystery period drama set in 1930s Shanghai, China. Based on Ni Kuangs novel series, the story follows Wisely, a rich heir who has no interest in running his family pawnshop. Instead, he lets his friend Cheung Ching manage the business while he opens a detective agency to investigate strange paranormal events. Alongside his Holmes-style partner Siu Kwok and secretary Mei Sin, Wisely dives deep into the supernatural. Along the way, he falls for a doctor named Pak So, but their love faces many trials. Wisely lives in a bustling household with his butler Lao Choi, cousin Hung Hung, and housekeeper Sister Foon. This thirty-episode series features eight different mystery stories. As the investigations unfold, the characters and cases beautifully intertwine, eventually coming full circle in a captivating finale that connects back to the very first scene.
