"The Silent Forest" explores the complex world of hearing-impaired teenager Chang Cheng, who transfers to a specialized school seeking a fresh start. Far from quiet, his new environment reveals a disturbing undercurrent. On the school bus, Chang witnesses a violent "game" led by the domineering Xiao Guang, where his crush, Bei Bei, becomes a brutalized victim. His initial excitement about fitting in quickly gives way to paralyzing fear. Chang faces a harrowing moral choice: expose the cruel truth, risking ostracization, or succumb to the pressure and join the perpetrators. As the distinction between bully and victim blurs, confusion and intense anxiety grip the entire school community, forcing students and staff to confront unsettling questions about silence, complicity, and the courage to act.
