The Restless is a gripping fantasy action movie that explores the afterlife realm of Jungcheon, a purgatory where souls spend forty-nine days before rebirth. The story follows Yi Kwak, an elite demon hunter from the royal squad Chuhyongdae. After a lifetime of fighting unseen evil spirits following his fiancée's tragic death, Yi Kwak finds himself on the brink of death and enters Jungcheon. There, he reunites with his lost love, Yonhwa. However, Yonhwa is now a spirit of the afterlife with no memory of their past.
