Description:

In "The Real Thing," Tsuji Kazumichi is a highly respected professional, well-regarded for his work, yet his personal life feels hollow. Despite casual relationships, he experiences a profound boredom, never having truly fallen in love. His monotonous existence takes a dramatic turn when he encounters a mysterious woman named Ukiyo, whose name means transitory world. He heroically saves her from a near-fatal accident at a railroad crossing.

Ukiyo is captivating but possesses an off-guard nature that inadvertently creates numerous problems for those around her, including Tsuji. Despite recognizing her troublesome tendencies, he finds himself unconsciously drawn into her chaotic world. This perilous connection gradually pulls Tsuji into a dangerous entanglement with powerful underworld figures. As his conventional life crumbles, Tsuji's unwavering desire to protect Ukiyo intensifies, leading him to make significant sacrifices. However, his commitment to her only thrusts him into an even more desperate and perilous situation.
