Description:

The Promise is a gripping drama of betrayal, love, and revenge. The story begins when Lee Na Yeon is orphaned after chaebol heiress Park Yu Gyeong causes the fatal traffic accident of her mother, Lee Yu Nae. This tragedy stems from a bitter rivalry over Jang Gyeong Wan, whom Yu Gyeong tricked into marriage. Feeling guilty, Jang tries to adopt Na Yeon, sparking intense anger from Yu Gyeong and jealousy from their daughter, Se Jin. Suspecting her mother's death was no accident, Na Yeon flees to an orphanage. She is raised by a widow and falls in love with Tae Jun, a brilliant but impoverished young man. Though Na Yeon dedicates her life to him, Tae Jun ultimately betrays her love, choosing to cheat on her with Se Jin to secure his own wealth and success.
