Description:

Set shortly after the Korean War, the horror movie The Piper follows Woo Ryong and his young son, Young Nam. The traveling duo arrives in an isolated mountain village, searching for odd jobs to fund their journey to Seoul. Despite the village chief's initial reluctance, Woo Ryong is hired and quickly discovers that the community is plagued by a severe rat infestation. Striking a deal with the chief, Woo Ryong uses his unique skills like a midcentury Pied Piper to successfully rid the town of the pests. However, when it is time to collect his hard-earned payment and leave, the chief brutally double-crosses the father and son. Consumed by betrayal and vowing revenge, Woo Ryong decides to lure the ravenous rats back to the village. In doing so, he unknowingly fulfills a terrifying old prophecy, unleashing an unimaginable nightmare and ultimate horror upon the deceitful villagers.
