Description:

The New King of Comedy follows the emotional journey of Ru Meng E Jingwen, a woman who dreams of becoming a movie star. Despite waiting year after year with little success, she refuses to give up on her acting career. Her anxious father, family, and friends constantly urge her to quit, leaving only her boyfriend Charlie Michael Jack to support her. Ru Meng eventually meets Ma Ke Wang Baoqiang, the famous actor who first inspired her. However, Ma Ke has become difficult and hotheaded, and he mistreats Ru Meng repeatedly. Overwhelmed by mounting obstacles, Ru Meng decides to return home to her parents to find a stable job. Just as she prepares to walk away, she learns she has been selected for a role in a movie by a big shot director. Now, Ru Meng is faced with an important decision that could change her life forever.
