The Legend of Qin is a gripping 2015 Chinese historical drama series directed by Zheng Wei Wen. Set during the chaotic end of the Warring States period, the story begins when Jing Ke fails to assassinate King Zheng of Qin. To protect his young son, Jing Tian Ming, the fleeing Jing Ke hires Gai Nie, the world's greatest swordsman. After Gai Nie defeats three hundred Qin soldiers, King Zheng orders their immediate execution, sending the formidable swordsman Wei Zhuang to hunt them down. While on the run, Gai Nie and Tian Ming seek refuge at the hidden Mohist Fortress, a secret anti-Qin stronghold. There, they meet Gao Yue and the talented Mohist doctor Rong Duan Mu, with whom Gai Nie falls in love. As King Zheng sends a massive army and Wei Zhuang leads elite assassins to breach the fortress, an epic battle begins that will determine the future of the empire.
