Description:

The Glorious Era plunges into a high-stakes world of espionage and fraternal conflict. On the eve of a pivotal battle, an underground party member, embedded in the police station, faces an urgent retreat following a traitor's betrayal. This treachery also results in the theft of a carefully prepared Kuomintang lurking list. His subsequent assignment to oversee a city school makes him a significant threat to late Kuomintang agents in the Beiping area.

In response, the Kuomintang initiates a special operation, codenamed Taoyuan, comprised of Cold Chess agents. The surprising leader of Taoyuan is his own brother, a prominent director and doctor. After Beiping's peaceful liberation, he returns to Beijing, confronted by surviving agents, tens of thousands of Kuomintang stragglers, and the enigmatic Taoyuan group led by his brother. The two siblings, representing opposing classes, engage in a secret, escalating, tit-for-tat confrontation. Ultimately, the Taoyuan Action Group is completely destroyed, ushering in earthshaking changes for Beijing, as the city prepares for rebirth, filled with hope.
