In the gripping crime thriller The Classified File, a young girl named EunJoo from a wealthy family is kidnapped in 1978. With no contact from the kidnapper, EunJoo's desperate mother and aunt seek guidance from various fortunetellers. Only one fortuneteller, Kim JoongSan Yu HaeJin, claims EunJoo is still alive. He recommends they contact Detective Kong GilYong Kim YunSeok for help. Though reluctant to join the case, Detective Kong GilYong agrees, advising the family to keep the investigation private to prevent placing EunJoo in further danger. Although the detective does not trust the fortuneteller, Kim JoongSan accurately predicts the kidnapper will reach out on the fifteenth day of the disappearance. When a picture of the girl arrives on that exact day, Detective Kong GilYong and Kim JoongSan become certain EunJoo is alive, sparking an intense secret investigation to rescue her.
