In the Song Dynasty, a rivalry between a bellicose male Black Tea Tribe and a peace-loving female Black Tea Tribe ends in tragedy. Provoked by a Japanese apprentice, the male tribe massacres the female tribe, leaving behind a dark legacy. Centuries later in Japan, Yagi, a descendant of the apprentice, closes his tea shop, convinced his wife's death was caused by an ancestral curse. Desperate to save her father, Yagi's teenage daughter Mikiko travels to Taiwan to find a descendant of the male tribe. She discovers the only way to break the curse is to defeat him in a tea-making competition. Meanwhile, in Taipei, Yang, a ruthless underground tea kingpin and male tribe descendant, schemes against Ruhua, a descendant of the female tribe's survivors. As Yagi follows Mikiko to Taipei to protect her, the ultimate tea fight begins. Will they break the curse?
