Surgeons is a gripping 2017 Chinese drama series directed by Li Xue that explores a decades-old medical mystery. Zhuang Su, played by Jin Dong, is a successful cardiothoracic surgeon practicing in the United States who returns to work at a general hospital in China. His mission is to uncover the truth behind a tragic malpractice case from 29 years ago that ruined his family. His mother, the nurse involved in the case, was forced to resign, witnessed her four-year-old daughter get kidnapped, and died in a car accident.
