Strobe Edge is a touching high school romance film that explores the bittersweet nature of first love and unrequited feelings. The story follows Ninako Kinoshita, a high school freshman who has no experience in love. Her world changes when she meets Ren Ichinose, a handsome boy who is incredibly popular with all of their female classmates, on a train during their commute home. After this chance encounter, Ninako begins encountering Ren more regularly, and she gradually develops deep feelings for him. However, their potential romance faces a major obstacle because Ren already has an older girlfriend. As the complex relationship between Ninako Kinoshita and Ren Ichinose is explored, several other people in their lives must also deal with their own painful feelings of unrequited love. This emotional journey beautifully captures the innocence, joy, and heartache of teenage relationships.
