In the gripping mystery drama Stranger ~Bakemono ga Jiken wo Abaku~ (SP), Misugi Akira and his companion Maria arrive in Tokyo on a crucial mission. Their goal is to recruit Itou Kaori, a young woman Akira has known since childhood, into their clan of ageless vampires. However, before Akira can reach their meeting point, the former doctor is sidetracked by saving a woman from a suicide attempt. This delay leads to tragedy when he finally arrives only to find Kaori murdered. A local serial killer, who delusionally believes himself to be a vampire, has taken her life. As police detective Saeki Shoji begins investigating the murder, all clues point directly toward Akira and Maria.
