In the romantic action-comedy Spy Girl, beautiful and highly skilled North Korean agent Rim Gaesoon (played by Kim Junghwa) infiltrates South Korea on a high-stakes mission. Her objective is to track down Kim Yeungguan, a rogue operative who stole vital espionage funds. To blend in, Rim Gaesoon adopts the fake identity Hyo Jin and takes a job at a local fast-food restaurant. However, her stunning looks backfire on her stealth mission. Instead of staying under the radar, she becomes an overnight sensation, drawing thousands of infatuated male customers daily. Among her many admirers is Jae Go Bong (Gong Yoo), a stressed young man who recently failed his university entrance exams. Just as Jae Go Bong faces conscription into the military, he discovers that Hyo Jin has a specific weakness for men wearing sunglasses.
