Description:

Spell of the Fragrance unveils a deep-seated rivalry between the esteemed Xiang and Gong fragrance families. At the heart of the story is Su Yu Ning, the renowned number one perfumer from the Su family, celebrated for both her exceptional skills and captivating beauty. She shares a history and an arranged marriage with Gong Shao Hua, the successor of the Gong family. However, upon Shao Hua's return from his studies in Shang Hai, he is devastated to discover Yu Ning engaged to Xiang Hao Yu, the heir of the rival Xiang family. A fierce confrontation erupts between the two men, fueled by Shao Hua's disbelief in Yu Ning's betrayal. This clash tragically leads to Shao Hua's father's early death, enraged by his son's broken arranged marriage. On the solemn day of his father's funeral, which coincides with Yu Ning and Hao Yu's wedding, a vengeful Shao Hua vows to destroy the Xiang family for causing his father's demise and taking Yu Ning from him.
