Description:

The mystery thriller Socialphobia delves into the dark side of internet culture and cyberbullying on twitter. When Min Hayeong, a woman known for challenging men online, becomes a public target, a group of young men dox her and march to her doorstep. Instead of a confrontation, they discover Min Hayeong has hanged herself. While the death is initially ruled a suicide, Jiwoong and Yongmin, two aspiring police academy students who participated in the online witch hunt, suspect foul play. Driven to uncover the truth, they return to the crime scene to investigate the possibility of murder. However, as they dig deeper, Socialphobia shifts from a standard murder mystery to a disturbing exploration of online identities and psychological sickness. Through the lens of Jiwoong and Yongmin, the film exposes the tragic reality of Min Hayeong's life and the toxic motivations of those who hunted her, showing how social networks can breed dangerous obsession.
