Silent explores the poignant past of Tsumugi Aoba and So Sakura, high school sweethearts bound by their mutual passion for music. Their deep connection, filled with shared melodies and dreams, was abruptly shattered when Sakura inexplicably ended their relationship and vanished, leaving Aoba heartbroken and confused.

Eight years later, Aoba finds herself in Tokyo, working part-time at a bustling CD music store, constantly surrounded by the very art form that once defined their bond. One ordinary day, a chance encounter brings her face-to-face with Sakura, igniting a flicker of hope and a surge of unanswered questions. Aoba longs to speak with him, to understand the past, but a devastating realization soon dawns upon her: Sakura has almost completely lost his hearing.
