Silence is a poignant romantic drama following Zhou Shen Shen, who loses her voice after a tragic bus accident. Her guilt-ridden friend Zuo Jun takes her to the hospital, where she meets Qi Wei Yi, a boy with a broken leg. Their connection deepens when Qi Wei Yi finds a letter she hid in a bomb shelter wall. They exchange messages, falling in love and promising to reunite in the Christmas of 2006, though he remains unaware that she is mute. After he leaves, years pass, and they meet again in 2006 without recognizing each other. Fate takes a dark turn when Qi Wei Yi is diagnosed with terminal liver cancer. Returning to their childhood hospital, he realizes Zhou Shen Shen is his first love. To protect her from the pain of his impending death, he hides his identity and pushes her away.
