Description:

In the gripping crime drama Shokatsu Damashii, Joto Chuo Police Precinct detective Katsuragi Kunihiko is called to a baffling crime scene where a young, barefoot woman is found strangled at a Koto Ward pier. The tension escalates when the elite Thirteenth Section of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police, led by the arrogant Yamaoka Muneo, takes over the case. To Katsuragi's shock, the director in charge of the investigation is his estranged son, Toshifumi. As friction grows between the local precinct and the overbearing elite unit, the investigation stalls with no progress. The mystery deepens when a second barefoot victim is discovered murdered at Koto Marina. Katsuragi suspects the premeditated crimes are connected through Tokyo's blind spots: its waterways. He believes the killer is transporting the bodies by boat and leaving a chilling message with the barefoot victims. Katsuragi must race against time to solve this complicated case while navigating a strained professional and personal relationship with his son.
