Shiroi Kyoto is a compelling medical drama set at Naniwa University Hospital, focusing on the intense rivalry between two assistant professors, Goro Zaizen and Shuji Satomi. Goro is a brilliant, ambitious surgeon determined to climb the corporate ladder at all costs, while Shuji is a dedicated physician deeply committed to medical research and patient care. Amidst the political maneuvering, Shuji cares for a patient with pancreatic cancer. In contrast to Shuji's cautious approach, Goro abruptly informs the patient of the diagnosis to secure an immediate operation. However, upon discovering that the Director of the Medical Department previously misdiagnosed the patient with stomach cancer, Goro cancels the surgery to protect his election prospects. Shuji remains determined to perform the life-saving operation, setting off a gripping conflict.
