"Shijukara" follows Watanuki Shinobu, a manga artist with 20 years of experience, who despite being married with a son, lives an unsatisfying existence. On the verge of abandoning her artistic aspirations, Shinobu's older works unexpectedly gain immense popularity on ebook platforms. This revival sparks a renewed determination within her to create a new manga.

To assist with her comeback project, Shinobu recruits Tachibana Chiaki, a 22-year-old young man. Through their collaboration and Chiaki's influence, Shinobu gradually experiences a transformation.
