The thriller Shi No Zouki follows TV production director Kyota Numazaki, played by Kotaro Koizumi, who discovers a female body in a Fuji forest. Although the autopsy states she froze to death, her kidney was mysteriously removed, prompting Detective Shiroi, played by Kosuke Toyohara, to doubt the official report. Meanwhile, dialysis patient Haruko Takakura desperately needs a kidney, but Dr. Seiichiro Hino, played by Tetsuya Takeda, opposes her daughter's plea to donate. The mystery deepens when hospital director Isamu Ota, played by Shigemitsu Ogi, treats two injured patients and realizes they underwent an illegal, paid-for kidney transplant. When Dr. Seiichiro Hino is implicated in this illegal surgery and questioned by the police, Kyota Numazaki senses a massive story. The TV director decides to investigate the dark connection between the abandoned female corpse and the underground organ trade, exposing a shocking medical conspiracy.
