"Semantic Error" introduces Chu Sang Woo, a disciplined computer science student who meticulously adheres to rules. When a liberal arts group project is sabotaged by freeloaders, Sang Woo, in a logical move, removes their names from the final presentation. This seemingly minor action, however, throws the study abroad plans of Jang Jae Young, the popular campus star from the Department of Designs, into disarray.

Jae Young, charismatic and multitalented, suddenly finds his perfect world disrupted by Sang Woo's unyielding principles. Their personalities are a complete mismatch – the analytical engineer versus the free-spirited artist, clashing like oil and water. Jae Young becomes a literal "semantic error" in Sang Woo's perfectly ordered life.
