Description:

In the classic drama Scavengers' Paradise, Wai Cheong travels to Hong Kong to find his father's friend, Ling Sing Po, and marry his daughter, Ling Fung. Upon arrival, Wai Cheong stays with his greedy and tricky uncle, Tang Keng Chan, who owes a lot of money to loan sharks. Staying in a shared house with a mother, her daughter, two martial arts masters, Cheng Pik Wan, and her brother, the silly yet helpful Wai Cheong tries hard to pay his uncle's debts. Although Wai Cheong and Cheng Pik Wan initially dislike each other, their mutual financial struggles bring them together, and they fall in love. Meanwhile, Tang Keng Chan schemes to impersonate Wai Cheong to marry the wealthy Ling Fung, but his plan fails. Eventually, Ling Fung also falls for Wai Cheong. Even after Cheng Pik Wan becomes famous, she continues to support Wai Cheong, leaving all four to face complex challenges in their love lives.
