Description:

As their rural village faces imminent flooding for a new dam, devout residents place their faith in church elder Choi Gyung Seok. He promises to relocate them to a new community, complete with a church and housing where they can all live together. Choi preaches that only 144,000 people can enter heaven and demands mandatory church offerings to secure a spot, even gaining the approval of the popular Reverend Sung. However, beneath his pious facade, Choi is a practiced con man posing as a representative of a fake religion. His true aim is to defraud the unsuspecting villagers of their crucial resettlement compensation. The only obstacle to his scheme is Kim MinChul, a skeptical outcast who accidentally uncovers evidence of Choi's fraudulent past.
