Sarangni is a captivating drama that explores the complexities of unconventional love across different stages of life. The story follows Jo Inyeong, a thirty-year-old teacher at a private Seoul school, who becomes deeply infatuated with her seventeen-year-old pupil, Lee Seok. After driving him home, she confesses her feelings, yet her live-in boyfriend, Jeongwoo, remains strangely unfazed by her obsession. Parallel to this, the movie introduces a teenage girl, also named Jo Inyeong, whose boyfriend, Lee Su, tragically dies in a traffic accident. At his funeral, she meets his twin brother, Lee Seok, sparking a romance where the youngsters eventually make love. As these two storylines crosscut, the deep connection between the narratives unfolds. This emotional journey ultimately awakens a hidden rebellious nature within the older teacher, Jo Inyeong, as she navigates her desires.
