Description:

In the intriguing drama Samurai Sensei, Hanpeita Takechi, played by Ryo Nishikido, is a political activist belonging to the Shishi group in 1865. After being imprisoned and ordered to kill himself for disrespecting his Lord, Hanpeita Takechi is about to carry out the suicide when he suddenly wakes up on a country road in present-day Japan. With no idea how he got here, the samurai wants to go back but remains stuck in a remote rural area. His historical appearance quickly embarrasses the local villagers. Meanwhile, Haruka Saeki, played by Manami Higa, works at a public office and hears rumors about the strange man. Curious about the situation, Haruka Saeki searches for him and finally finds Hanpeita Takechi at a supermarket. This unique time-travel story follows his hilarious struggle to adapt to modern life.
