Ruen Roi Rak is a gripping drama about Khun Waat and Luang Date, a desperate childless couple who turn to a Chinese doctor for help. He prescribes a powerful aphrodisiac herbal tincture to be consumed together. While Khun Waat drinks hers, Luang Date is suddenly called away on urgent business. Overwhelmed by intense sexual arousal, Khun Waat flees to the river to cool down. Meanwhile, an opportunistic maid steals the remaining drink to seduce a sick man. He also seeks relief at the river, leading to a passionate, uncontrollable encounter between him and Khun Waat. When the maid witnesses the man leaving the mistress's bedroom later, she begins blackmailing Khun Waat. In a desperate bid to hide the truth, Khun Waat kills the man, and they frame the blackmailer for murder. After a failed attempt to permanently silence the maid, secrets remain buried. Just as things settle, Luang Date discovers his wife is pregnant, unaware of the dark lies behind her impending motherhood.
