Right By Me is a sweet, sexy, and alluring LGBTQ+ movie that explores the lives and loves of three college friends navigating different stages of coming out. Tat, a handsome and bookish student, regularly attends coming-out support meetings alongside his out and proud best friend, Nat. Their world is turned upside down when Tat's secret crush, the hunky college athlete Ek, unexpectedly shows up at one of the meetings. As Ek begins questioning his sexuality, he turns to Tat for guidance and support. A tender and sweet romance gradually develops between Tat and Ek, which quickly creates an awkward and tense love triangle with Nat. To find happiness and survive, all three young men must overcome the harsh realities of homophobia in Thai society, deal with abusive and neglectful family lives, survive violent gay bashings, keep up with their schoolwork, and resolve their own complicated feelings. This emotional drama beautifully captures the struggles and triumphs of youth, identity, and modern queer love.
