"Ribbon" transports audiences to the isolating winter of 2020, a period defined by global uncertainty. Itsuka, a dedicated art student, faces a devastating setback when her year-long graduation project, the culmination of immense passion and hard work, loses its exhibition venue due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Confined to her home, Itsuka's once vibrant creative spirit begins to wane. The joy of creation is replaced by a crippling lack of motivation, leaving her grappling with a profound internal conflict. She feels adrift, struggling to discern her artistic path or purpose amidst the unprecedented disruption. Having been deprived of her primary channel for self-expression, Itsuka must navigate her internal struggle to redefine what art means to her and rediscover the impetus to create, even when the world around her seems to stand still.
