Set against the background of Petaling Street in 1908, the film Petaling Street Warriors follows Shi Duyao (Mark Lee) and Zhung Lichun (Yeo Yann Yann). This married couple operates a Hokkien mee stall, suffering from a corrupt colonial government and local Chinese gangsters. When Duyao tries to impress his wife, he meets Xiaoju (Chris Tong), a beautiful kungfu expert who claims he is the descendant of the missing Emperor Jianwen of the Ming Dynasty. Chaos erupts when Qing warriors and Japanese ninjas arrive to steal a secret treasure map that Duyao does not even know he has. To defend their home, Lichun and her cousin Liu Kun (Namewee) finally reveal their formidable kungfu, turning Petaling Street into an intense battleground. Facing enemies with unthinkable powers, Duyao must quickly unravel the mystery of his identity and find a way to come to his wife’s rescue in time.
