Description:

Paper Flower tells the poignant story of Sung Gil, an old funeral director living in poverty with his unwell son, who desperately wishes for death. Strong but struggling, Sung Gil is too poor to be employed by larger funeral companies. A turning point arrives when a woman, carrying many stories, moves next door with her daughter and becomes the caretaker for Sung Gil's son. Her presence sparks a profound change, as the son slowly finds hope and happiness. Concurrently, a respected town benefactor, known for his care for the homeless, passes away. The homeless community, desiring a public tribute, wants his funeral held in the town square. Sung Gil, deeply committed to his calling, feels it is his duty to oversee this significant community event, highlighting his dedication amidst personal hardship.
