The historical drama special Ooku presents two captivating stories set in the Edo era, starring Sawajiri Erika as two different concubines of Tokugawa Ienari. In the first episode, titled Saikyo no Onna, Sawajiri Erika portrays Omiyo. The second episode, Higeki no Shimai, shifts the narrative to a different tone. Here, Sawajiri Erika takes on the role of Ume, who is Tokugawa Ienari’s favorite concubine. Through these two contrasting characters, this drama special explores the diverse fates, sacrifices, and ambitions of women living within the historic Ooku.
