Onna Michi follows Yamaguchi Rika, a record company employee who experiences the worst birthday of her life when she is cheated of her money by her former boyfriend. Just when she hits rock bottom, an older woman dressed in a leopard print dress suddenly appears in a cloud of white smoke. This mysterious woman reveals she is actually Rika from 20 years into the future. She has traveled back in time to prevent her own untimely death, which was embarrassingly caused by losing her footing on a beer bottle at a pub. Determined to make a fresh start, the future self, who possesses a despairingly different style and appearance, joins forces with her younger self. Together, they begin a massive battle to change her destiny and start over again.
