In the heartwarming drama Okashi No Le, Sakurai Taro lives a quiet life after losing his parents at a young age. His grandmother Akiko struggles to keep her beloved candy store, Sakuraya, alive in the old part of Tokyo. Taro often hangs out at the store with regular customers like his childhood friend Saegusa Hiroki, an aspiring scriptwriter, clinging to the comforting nonsense of their youth. However, they soon realize this carefree existence cannot last forever as time slips away. Everything changes when Taro’s former classmate, Kimura Reiko, returns to town with her son following a painful divorce. Her sudden presence forces Taro and his friends to finally confront their pasts, unfulfilled dreams, and emotional pains. Together, they embark on a journey of self-discovery to find out what is truly important in life. Okashi No Le is a moving story about friendship, nostalgic memories, and the bittersweet reality of growing up.
