Description:

Naoko is a compelling tale of shared tragedy, guilt, and the pursuit of healing. The story begins with a young Naoko aboard a fishing boat, utterly mesmerized by a boy gracefully running along the shore. Suddenly, disaster strikes when Naoko falls overboard. In a heroic and ultimately tragic turn, the boy's father, who is also the ship's captain, sacrifices his own life to save her from drowning.

Six years later, the weight of that fateful day still lingers. Naoko encounters the boy again, now an elite runner named Yusuke, at a high-stakes marathon competition. Bravely, she reintroduces herself, confronting their painful past. When an unexpected opportunity arises to become the co-manager of Yusuke's running team, Naoko seizes it. Yusuke, however, initially harbors deep resentment towards Naoko's presence. Despite the initial friction, they are slowly forced to confront their intertwined histories, embarking on a difficult but ultimately transformative journey of forgiveness and healing their profound sorrows from the past.
