My Scary Girl is a quirky romantic comedy thriller centering on DaeWoo, a thirty-year-old English Literature Professor who has never had a girlfriend. Urged by his best friend, DaeWoo musters the courage to ask out MiNa, a beautiful woman who recently moved into his apartment complex. Despite his overly planned and failed romantic lines, the two miraculously click and start dating. However, as their relationship grows, DaeWoo begins to notice highly unusual details about his new girlfriend. MiNa claims to be an art major but does not know who Piet Mondrian is. She has never heard of Dostoevsky, and she keeps a large kimchi refrigerator that contains absolutely no kimchi. To make matters stranger, her roommate Jo EunJi swears constantly and dates a violent thug. Filled with growing suspicion and desperate for the truth, DaeWoo eventually hires a private investigator to look into MiNa’s mysterious background. What dark secrets is she hiding?
