Description:

Monstrous follows Jung Ki Hoon, a former archaeologist now immersed in strange supernatural phenomena through his occult magazine and YouTube channel. An unexpected request from his ex-wife compels him to Jinyang County to investigate Gwibul, a Buddhist statue purportedly possessed by an evil spirit. There, he faces an incredibly bizarre and fearful phenomenon that defies explanation.

Meanwhile, his ex-wife, a brilliant former archaeologist, is also in Jinyang County after a personal tragedy, experiencing her own series of mysterious phenomena as she desperately searches for answers. Simultaneously, the residents of Jinyang County, including the police substation chief, her son, the governor, and a local trouble maker, find themselves grappling with increasingly bizarre and terrifying occurrences. Their paths converge in a desperate struggle against an escalating, monstrous horror that threatens to consume the entire county.
