"Misleading Track" plunges into the ordeal of Yan Ting, unjustly imprisoned in Taiwan for five years for the alleged murder of her husband, Yuen Man San. Estranged from her family in Hong Kong, her son was left in the care of her best friend, Wun Suk Lan. After an early release, Yan Ting returns to Hong Kong, securing work at kindhearted lawyer Lo Lei Ho's office. Her mission is twofold: locate her son and reconcile with her family.

However, her world is upended when she repeatedly glimpses Man San, her supposedly dead husband, in Hong Kong. He is now married to Chiang Nga Yi, striving to win her father's approval. The plot thickens dramatically with the arrival of Suk Lan from America, who also claims to be Man San's wife. As bewildering events unfold, Man San's true identity is gradually revealed to those around him. Desperate to safeguard his secrets from exposure, a terrifying series of deaths ensues, escalating the danger and mystery.
