Description:

The emotional romantic drama Midnight Sun follows Kaoru, a young woman living in a house on a hill in Kamakura. Every morning before dawn, Kaoru dreamily gazes from her bedroom window at the beach and a nearby bus stop. She focuses on Koji and his two best friends, who meet there before going surfing. However, Kaoru must live in darkness. She suffers from Xeroderma Pigmentosum XP, a life-threatening condition where exposure to the sun's rays could kill her, forcing her to sleep during the day. Her true passion comes alive at night when she walks to the train station to play her guitar and sing her own songs, always returning home just before daylight. Her isolated world takes an unexpected turn one morning when she is singing at the bus stop, and Koji suddenly arrives, bringing their two separate lives together.
